Interview with Evy Metal

We met Evy Metal at a show at the Tonic with the Black Mercies several months back. She said that she liked our set and handed me a card. She explained that she had a music blog/podcast site where she would interview local bands and splice in some of their music into downloadable podcast format. Sounded like a great idea to me.

So a couple weeks ago the three of us went over to Evy Metal’s house to do a 30 minute interview. We prepped for an hour beforehand at the Blue Monk (unofficial bar of BIY) then met her at her house in Southeast and did the interview there. Things went well.. her daughter’s adorable little pug didn’t make a peep and we didn’t have any “Oh wait, did I say that?” moments.

The site is way cool.. every blog entry has a podcast segment featuring a local band. She has talked to a bunch of bands. After you get done listening to the Bombs Into You interview you should check out the Westfold interview since they’ll be with us at our CD release show on the 7th. She’s also got one up there for the aforementioned Black Mercies.
